How to make sea food Okra/Okro


  • Okra/Okro soup is my all time favourite, I have tried a gazillion recipes with it, I can almost say I'm an authority in okra dishes. Any way here is an easy one for you. I like this cos it can literary be ready in 10 minutes (That's when I'm using lightly smoked fish). Ps:This picture doesn't do this soup any justice all.... we shall improve o our photography skills :D    Ingredients : 
  •  Okra 
  • Fish 
  • Snail (Optional) 
  •  Palm Oil (Optional) 
  •  Seasoning cubes 
  • Fresh pepper
  •  Onions
  •  Periwinkle 
  •  Prawns 
  • Crabs 
Method:
  •  Add water to your pot and put on fire 
  •  Add ground fresh pepper (According to your tolerance level) 
  •  Add ground onions 
  •  Add seasoning cube 
  •  If you want to use palm oil, add at this point and stir 
  •  Then put in your snail Let it boil for about 5 minutes 
  • Add your fish. Once you add fish, don't stir again 
  •  Reduce heat..... let it cook for 10 minutes, taste and correct seasoning if necessary 
  •  Finally add your Prawns, periwinkle and crabs....the reason for adding these last, is so you don't over cook them Let it boil for another 5 minutes, 
  • Then add any leaf of your choice, I prefer Uziza leaf, cos it gives it a unique taste
 Voila!!! Your easy peezy Okra is ready Serve with any swallow of your choice Peace out!
